Day 1

Arrival

Canoe Arrival, Rainforest Walk & Night Walk

12:00 — Arrival & Welcome

Our guide will meet you at the Arajuno Bridge and you'll enjoy a 20-minute canoe ride to the lodge. After you check into your room, you'll enjoy a welcome lunch.
Afternoon Rainforest Walk

We'll take a 1-hour walk around the lodge. Your guide will show you the rainforest plants and explain how the local ecosystem works.
Free Time

You can relax by the pool, rest in the hammocks, walk along the river, or just listen to the jungle sounds.
Dinner & Night Walk

After dinner, we'll go on a night walk with flashlights. You'll hear the Amazon's chorus of frogs and insects, and may spot colorful nocturnal wildlife along the way.

The night walk is easy and slow. Your guide leads with flashlights. No experience needed.

Day 2

Parrot Clay Lick, Wildlife Islands & Kichwa Community

Early Morning — Bird Watching & Parrot Clay Lick

We start early with birdwatching, then head to the Saladero. Dozens of parrots and parakeets gather to eat mineral-rich clay from the riverbank, one of the very few places in Ecuador where you can still witness this phenomenon.
8:00 AM — Breakfast

We'll head back to the lodge for breakfast.
Morning/Midday — Wildlife Islands or Conservation Center

We'll visit AmaZOOnico animal rescue center, Caiman Island, or Monkey Island depending on weather and river conditions. These trips allow you to explore conservation projects, see local wildlife, and experience the natural habitats of the Amazon.
Lunch & Afternoon — Kichwa Community Experience

We return to the lodge for lunch, then take a short canoe ride to the San Bartolo community. You'll meet the community leader and families, help prepare chicha (a traditional fermented drink), share a guayusa tea and chicha toast, watch traditional Kichwa dancing with authentic dress, learn to cook maito and yuca at the tulpa (traditional cooking fire), share a pambamesa (communal meal), and browse handmade crafts made by the families. Your purchases go directly to support them.
Dinner & Free Time

Return to the lodge, free time to relax by the river or enjoy the pool. Dinner and overnight.

Entry fees (not included): Community visit $5 per person. AmaZOOnico $5 adults / $2.50 children. Paid directly to support local families and conservation projects.

Day 3

River Adventure & Deep Jungle Trek

8:00 AM — Breakfast

Enjoy breakfast at the lodge.
River Adventure: Tubing, Kayaking, or Paddleboarding

Choose your adventure down the Arajuno River. Tubing in individual tubes with life jackets (2–2.5 hours), kayaking at your own pace, or paddleboarding (SUP) if you prefer. All options take you through rainforest scenery. Not interested? Relax at the lodge or follow in our canoe.
Return & Lunch

We'll return to the lodge for lunch and some rest.
Afternoon — Deep Jungle Hike (3 hours)

A 3-hour trek through secondary rainforest. Your guide will teach you about medicinal plants, forest species, and ancestral knowledge passed down by local communities.
Dinner & Overnight

Return to the lodge for free time and dinner.

Departure

Jungle Viewpoint & Artisanal Chocolate

Before Dawn — Jungle Viewpoint

Wake up early to visit the natural mirador. Watch the rainforest wake up and try to spot some wildlife as the jungle comes to life.
8:00 AM — Breakfast

Return to the lodge for a relaxed breakfast.
9:30 AM — Check-out & Departure

We'll help you prepare your bags and take you back to the Arajuno Bridge by canoe, arriving around 10:00.

Your guide will ensure you have plenty of time for a peaceful morning before departure.
